How many bricks do we need to build a 100-square-meter brick wall? We will discuss this topic, so please read this article carefully. First of all, we should know the standard size of a brick. In this post, we have discussed How many bricks are calculated in a 100 sq m wall construction.
I have already written many posts about standard brick size. You can see. Generally, the standard size of a good quality brick is (230 x 110 x 55) mm excluding the motor. And I have already included this in the standard size of brick.
How many bricks are calculated in a 100 sq m wall?
How many bricks do we need when we put a brick wall of 100 sq m? Before doing this calculation we need to note the following:
- The brick should be well-burnt
- Bricks do not absorb more than 15% water.
- It should be of regular shape and size.
- The brick should be of the same thickness
- The strength bricks should have 105 kg/cm2.
These 5 things can make a difference in our calculation. But what we will calculate will be for a round figure, it may not be an accurate number.
It may vary depending on the construction site. If you plan to construct the whole building, the following calculation is the same for all. How many bricks do we need if we want to build a wall of 100 sq m?
Let’s calculate:
Standard Size of Brick= (230 x 110 x 55) mm [without mortar]
Standard Size of Brick= (240 x 115 x 57) mm [with mortar]
Standard Size of Brick= 9″ x 4″ x 2″ [without mortar]
Now we can use the size of the brick in mm. Because we should be calculated for a 100 sq m wall.
Length=230mm
Breadth=110mm
Height=55mm

What is the Volume of One Brick?
The volume of One Brick=Length x Breadth x Height
Volume=230 x 110 x 55=1391500 cub m
But, we need the area of one brick
Area= Length x Breadth
Area=240 x 115= 27 600 sq mm.
100 sq m = 100 000 000 sq mm
Number of Brick required = Area of total Wall/ Area of One Brick
Number of Brick required = 100 000 000 / 27 600= 3623.2 Nos
The total number of bricks is 3623.2. i.e. nearly Equal to 3624 Nos.
So, If we can construct a 100 sq m wall 3624 Nos of Brick are necessary including Mortar.
If you calculate the number of bricks for 1 sq m divided Total Number of bricks by the total area of the wall.
Nos of Brick for 1 sq m=3624 / 100=36 Nos.
If we want to build a 1 sq m wall, we need 36 bricks. In this way, we can do brick calculations for any brick masonry. Maybe this post has helped you a lot. Please share it with other friends.
